After a whirlwind weekend that consisted of a trip to L.A., lunch at Hals on Abbot Kinney and a mini family reunion that resulted in sore abs from laughing too hard, the beau and I crashed yesterday afternoon, which left me some time to gather my latest cravings. From decadent breakfast entrees to rustic colors and glamourous touches, I've been brightening up my days lately with a yin and yang of simple basics and fancy finds in all categories.

WOW, being that I haven't eaten breakfast yet, those pancakes just made me really hungry. Also, Scandinavian design books are my all time favorite! Everything always seems so simple, clean, comfortable and beautiful.

Could I have those pancakes? You lucky girl... Good choice on the jewelmint pick - I chose a big gold statement necklace (becasue I legit don't own a single statement necklace) and it's so hard for me to style - a bracelet would have been easier... oops!
