The only thing I'd ever known about Mary Kay products was that if you worked for them, you got a pink car. Since I'm always open to trying new products in the beauty department, I jumped at the chance to review a some staples by the famous line. I received a mascara, blush, lip balm and eye shadows, all of which I was pleasantly impressed by. I absolutely love the Shy Blush, which has a gold highlighting shimmer to it that isn't overboard but noticeable in certain light. I've been mixing it with a basic mineral powder and the combo is so natural and flattering. The mascara has the perfect consistency so it hardly ever clumps and goes on so smoothly—I'm usually very picky when it comes to my mascara brush, but this one gets my vote for adding the perfect amount of volume. I love the Satin lip mask - I've been sneaking into my mom's bathroom and using hers for YEARS. I also love the Sienna & Silky caramel eye shadows because they're the perfect neutrals for every day.

Pretty! I remember loving Mary Kay in high school, but since then I haven't had a supplier in my life. I was especially partial to the lip gloss that tasted vaguely like strawberries.

I remember my mom having Mary Kay parties in the early 80's. The only thing she would let me wear was the lip gloss, and I adored it! I still use it randomly, but have always loved the mascara the most!
MK Medium-Coverage Foundation is great, as well as their mascara and brush sets. My bff's mom sells it and I loved "borrowing" all of her goodies when I stayed there!
