Oscar Party 2011

Last night I had a few girlfriends over to watch the Oscars with some bubbly and popcorn. The attire was pajamas and pearls so we could be cozy on the couch while still feeling glamourous. After catching the red carpet pre-show and eating way too much popcorn, we filled out ballots that I made from cardboard and debated on who had the best dress—it was a toss up between Gwyneth Paltrow's metallic column gown and Mila Kunis' lacy lilac number. Nothing like a little Hollywood excitement to spice up a Sunday night.
[ Gold balloons added a festive touch ]
[ Brown paper bags filled with kettle corn and popcorn were passed around ]
[ Ballots included best movie, best actor/actress and best supporting actor/actress categories ]
[ Favorite movie treats—Red Vines, Junior Mints and York Peppermint Patties ]
[ Kristian and I in our pearls, pj's and furs ]
[ Kona, Lindsey's dog, wearing his finest bow tie for the occasion ]

How fun! I would have loved to be at your party instead of enjoying it from my couch with my mocking husband! I just kept saying "just let me have this night!" to him after he made fun of everything that happened!

That bow-tie clad dog made my night.
