La Quinta R&R

I took a much needed vacation over the weekend to La Quinta (just south of Palm Springs) to spend some quality time with my mama. I've been going to the La Quinta Resort since I was teeny tiny and not much has changed besides a few additions like the Spa, which is great, and the closing of the candy store, not so great. But for the most part everything is the same and has been since it opened in the 20's. Springtime is my favorite time to go out to the desert, right when it starts warming up, but isn't unbearable. I got a long awaited pedicure at the Spa, lounged by the pool, filled up on my favorite restaurants and caught up on some reading.
