Viva Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent... I suddenly need a weekend escape to Mexico. However, a true Mexico trip might not include these fancy items—unless you're staying at the one and only Palmilla in Cabo (sigh)—but I can't help but fantasize a little. My last trip down south was to Todos Santos (a town just north of Cabo) where some friends of ours have a palapa/house where you sleep safari style under a thatched roof. Needless to say I wasn't sporting 4" platforms or blow drying my hair but it was the best trip to Mexico I've ever experienced.
